Summary
Elk Grove has named Rod Brewer as its vice mayor for 2024. The pick matters because the vice mayor helps steer City Council priorities and can step in for the mayor, so Brewer’s focus will shape local decisions. For most residents, it’s a leadership signal rather than an immediate policy change.
